Living to the Fullest

The life of the Church here at MacArthur has been full these last few weeks. We held our annual Vacation Bible Camp the first week of August, worked on sprucing up the buildings and just gave away a lot of school supplies. Add to that a new pastor who is passionately in love with the Lord and desires to help us all become more passionate in our lives with the Lord.

Blood and adreneline. The faster the adreneline flows the faster the blood moves throughout the body, bringing sustaining oxygen and revitalization by removing the tired and toxic organisms which suck the life out.

God, through the blood of His son Jesus Christ gives us new life. Life eternal. No longer are we sucked dry, left to wander aimlessly through life. He renews us every day as we feed upon His Word and follow in His footsteps. It's that easy. Surrender all that holds you down and you will run and not be weary. It's a daily thing for the rest of your life. It's not always easy but the rewards will be great.  Are you walking in New Life? Would you like to find out how? Join us any Sunday morning around 10:45 AM. You'll be glad you did!

This week has run by like a locomotive. So much going on in the life of the church here at MacArthur!

1. We have a guest speaker on Sunday. His name is Tim Shields and he is the Director Elect for a mission group that our church helps support, Hisportic Christian Mission.

2.Vacation Bible Camp begins Monday and runs through Friday, from 9:30 AM-2:15 PM. Of course that means that some of us will be there long before and after the children. (By the way, if you live in Vancouver, WA and have kiddos between the ages of 4 and those going into 8th grade, bring them on Monday and register them for VBC)!

3. The following Sunday, the 10th, begins a new chapter in our church's life; a interim pastor who joins us and helps us transition from one pastor to another. Lots of changes are coming our way. Good ones I'm sure, not that there was bad stuff before, but every person who serves God and the body does things differently.

4. Family stuff happens and a momentous birthday for our youngest grandson happens in August. He'll be turning one. How fast this first year of his life has gone. A newborn who is now eating some regular food, walking, and generally a wonderful little fella to be around.

So you see, life is flying by. I'm trying to savor every moment of every day, but whew, what a great time to be alive! See ya!
